Narnia

Aslan

Aslan, the "Great Lion," is the central figure in The Chronicles of Narnia, a series of seven fantasy novels for children written by C. S. Lewis. He is the eponymous lion of The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, and his role in Narnia is developed throughout the remaining books. He is also the only character to appear in all seven books of the series.

He is depicted as a talking lion, the King of Beasts, son of the Emperor-Over-the-Sea; a wise, compassionate, magical authority (both temporal and spiritual); mysterious and benevolent guide to the human children who visit; guardian and saviour of Narnia. The author, C. S. Lewis, described Aslan as an alternative version of Christ that is, as the form in which Christ might have appeared in a fantasy world.

Aslan is Turkish for "lion" and was also used as a title by Seljuq and Ottoman rulers. Throughout the series, it is stated that Aslan is "not a tame lion," since, despite his gentle and loving nature, he is powerful and can be dangerous. He has many followers, which include vast numbers of Talking Beasts, Centaurs, Fauns, Dryads, Dwarfs, Satyrs, Naiads, Hamadryads, Mermaids, Silvans, Unicorns, and Winged Horses. Lewis often capitalises the word lion, since, at least partially, he represents Jesus.

Peter Pevensie

Peter Pevensie was a young man who traveled to Narnia, the eldest of the Pevensie children, and ruler of the Kingdom of Narnia after the White Witch's demise. As the oldest, he was responsible and caring, always wanting to do what was best for his siblings. His Narnian titles included High King Peter the Magnificent, Emperor of the Lone Islands, Lord of Cair Paravel, and Knight of the Most Noble Order of the Lion.

Susan Pevensie

Susan Pevensie was the second-born of the Pevensie children (after Peter) and the eldest sister. She was logical (to the point of being stubborn), motherly, and more serious than her sister, Lucy. During her reign at the Narnian capital of Cair Paravel, she was known as Queen Susan the Gentle or Queen Susan of the Horn.

Susan was also known for her great beauty and her archery skills. She was headstrong, talented and intelligent. During the Golden Age, she was courted by many princes of neighboring countries, including Prince Rabadash of Calormen. After the Pevensie's second visit to Narnia, she was told that she would never again return.

During this last visit, there were some indications that Susan was having trouble believing in Narnia. She was the last of the children to believe and see Aslan during the nighttime hike to Aslan's How. When she finally saw him, he told her she had been "listening to fears", and comforted her. However, back on Earth, she began to convince herself that Narnia was just a game, and she thought her siblings silly to continue seriously entertaining such childhood fantasies.

Skills/Powers Edit Skills/Powers section

Archery:
Susan is a gifted archer, only partially due to her magic bow. She is hesitant to kill, though her aim can be deadly.
Swimming:
Susan is also a gifted swimmer, winning prizes for the sport at school. She uses her skills to save Trumpkin the dwarf from drowning.
Politics:

As queen, Susan is also quite a diplomat. She is constantly mending rifts between her siblings and as a queen always thinks of the betterment of her country in foreign negotiations.

Lucy Pevensie

Lucy Pevensie, known as Queen Lucy the Valiant in Narnia, was the youngest of the four Pevensie children and was the first one to discover Narnia through the wardrobe. Although none of her siblings believed her, Lucy went there several times before the rest of them came, finally realizing she was telling the truth all along. She was crowned as "Queen Lucy the Valiant" at Cair Paravel. Lucy was the most faithful of the four and never stopped believing in Narnia, and along with her brothers Peter and Edmund, died in a train crash in England were transported to Aslan's Country with the other Narnians.

Lucy is the most faithful out of all her siblings; which is why she saw Aslan across the gorge and her brother's and sister didn't. As a young child, she was often teased by Edmund; and he thought she was playing "childish games" about Narnia. Of course, even though he knew Lucy was right about Narnia all along, he only said they were pretending when he himself went through the wardrobe.
Lucy loves animals, and makes friends with many creatures; and was sad to see that all of Narnia was invaded by humans. But she is full of courage; and is much more adventurous than her sister, Susan, which is why she never stopped believing in Narnia. Lucy has a great desire to help others, and uses her cordial that was given to her by Father Christmas. Lucy is the closest to Aslan, and often seeks his guidance. Despite being called a "liar", Lucy has come to forgive her siblings, which is why she is a very admirable character; she still has a loving heart and can forgive anyone.

Edmund Pevensie

Edmund "Ed" Pevensie was the third of the Pevensie children; and after his younger sister, Lucy, second to enter the magical world of Narnia. He was mischievous and rather rude, but changed largely after his experience with the White Witch. Edmund was crowned King of Narnia along with his brother and sisters. At the coronation, he received the Narnian titles, King Edmund the Just, Duke of Lantern Waste and Count of the Western March, Knight of the Noble Order of the Table,

Prince Caspian

Caspian X, King of Narnia, Lord of Cair Paravel, and Emperor of the Lone Islands, also called Caspian the Seafarer and Caspian the Navigator (born 2290–died 2356, Narnian Time) was one of the greatest leaders of the Narnian Empire who took part in the successful Narnian Revolution and began the Age of Exploration. Caspian was descended from the Telmarine Dynasty and succeeded by his son Rilian.

Ben Barnes (born on August 20, 1981) is an English actor. He has appeared in such television series as Doctors and Split Decision. He appeared in the 2007 films Stardust and Bigga than Ben.
In February 2007, it was announced Barnes would play the role of Caspian in the forthcoming film adaption of The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian, directed by Andrew Adamson. To take up the offer of playing Caspian, Barnes left his role as Dakin in the Royal National Theatre production of The History Boys ahead of the end of his contract.
The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian is a 2008 fantasy film based on Prince Caspian, the second published novel in C. S. Lewis' children's fantasy series The Chronicles of Narnia. It will be the second film in The Chronicles of Narnia film series from Walt Disney Pictures and Walden Media, following The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. The four Pevensie children return to Narnia to aid a young prince in his struggle for the throne against his corrupt uncle King Miraz.
Originally scheduled for a December 14, 2007 release, the film was pushed back to a May 16, 2008 premiere. The film, the fourth story in the series’s internal chronology, is being produced second to follow the order in which C. S. Lewis wrote the books, and to maintain believable continuity with the maturing actors. In continuity with the film version of The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe, having returned from Narnia, the children's next visit to Narnia would be during the events of Prince Caspian.

Reepicheep

Reepicheep was a brave and valiant talking mouse warrior who lived during the reign of Caspian X . He took part in the Narnian Revolution and sailed with Caspian to the End of the World. He is about "three feet tall and seven pounds."

In his younger years, Reepicheep was living in the forest, and sung to by dryads. In the film adaptation of The Voyage of the Dawn Treader, Reepicheep states to Eustace Scrubb that he was once with some pirates, possibly on the crew, although this is never stated in the book. Presumably, this occurred before the Narnian Revolution, though how he came to do this is unknown.

Reepicheep's song
This is the song he sings which the dryad had sung to him when he was an infant mouse:
Where sky and water meet,
Where the waves grow sweet
Doubt not Reepicheep
To find all you seek-
There is the utter East.
